5 Diet Tips For Troubled Skin

By Skinesa's® co-founder, Eric Koepp

HOW TO CLEAR UP YOUR SKIN USING BASIC DIETARY GUIDELINES WITHOUT COMPROMISE

1. Use evidence-based probiotics for skin.

Fix skin problems with hyper-specialized probiotics designed for skin. Probiotics are live microorganisms that give you specific health benefits. The right probiotics are “evidence-based” probiotics, which means they have been studied for safety and effectiveness in a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial.

You may be shocked to learn that only 1 in 500 probiotics on the shelf are evidence-based! This means the vast majority of ALL probiotics are not even based on published science. The probiotic blend in Skinesa® works for 9 out of 10 people in clinical trials.

2. Eat the daily recommended amount of dietary fiber.

97% of Americans not eating enough fruits and vegetables (That's YOU!) The Institute of Medicine recommends 25g/daily for women and 38g/daily for men. Increasing fiber-rich foods and prebiotic-containing foods or supplements will help promote gut health and benefit your gut microbiota, too.

3. Avoid the Big 3: Sugar, Dairy and Gluten

Eat less sugar (under 25g per day), Milk (possibly inflammatory), and Gluten (makes your gut wall more permeable). Avoid processed foods and instead eat more fibrous colorful vegetables.

4. Follow 25 Registered Dieticians (RD's) on Instagram.

Take the guesswork out of fad diets. Follow what experts recommend for FREE! ---> #registereddietitian

Registered Dietician's (1) earned a bachelor's degree with course work approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, (2) Completed an accredited, supervised practice program at a health care facility, community agency or foodservice corporation, (3) Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and (4) Complete continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration on an ongoing basis.

5. Eat more fatty fish and antioxidant rich foods.

American's Omega 3 vs Omega 6 ratio is startling - It’s estimated by some experts to be like 100:1 in the wrong direction! A simple-to-follow Mediterranean diet (which is also high dietary fiber) will work wonders for most people.

Is there a person alive who hasn't suspected diet has something to do with your skin?

The whole idea behind Skinesa® is evidence-based ingredients that will work for YOU. So if you’re struggling with your skin health and you think diet is a factor, then you’re in the right place. If you're like me, you’ve tried every ineffective product on the market, nothing works as promised and you’re frustrated by complexity.

You should be able to simplify your diet and supplements! Maybe you’ve been misdiagnosed, or you’ve been dismissed when you mentioned diet, and/or you’re only offered drugs or steroids that only treat symptoms? Or, you think your doctor has no clue whatsoever and they just want you to rub your hard-earned money on your skin problem?

At Skinesa®, we've discovered the missing piece for many people is addressing the gut microbiome and gut permeability.

And by sharing what I’ve learned, I've already helped many people just like you achieve and maintain clear healthy skin, naturally. We promote a proven model that is backed by published science and that doesn't require complicated diet changes.

"Skin health starts from the inside out. When it comes to skin health, proper nutrition is key. 'Beauty is skin deep' is not just an expression, but a window into the body and what could be happening deep inside. When something goes wrong with our skin, it can be a symptom of something more complex. Skin conditions have a strong genetic and environmental component, but some data suggests that improvements can be made through dietary interventions.

Oxidative stress of the skin can also elicit itching and scratching when too many free radicals are present. The health of our gut and the health of our skin in relation to what we eat are both closely intertwined, and what we choose to nourish our body with can affect this skin-gut connection."

Our co-founder, Eric Koepp, created Skinesa® Skin Probiotic after experiencing the magic of the right probiotic supplement for skin. As a person who struggled with problematic skin for over 25 years, Eric had unique insight into exactly how evidence-based probiotics for skin can work miracles. Eric wants you to know: “Healthy food, when combined with the right dietary supplements, can heal! I've seen and it experienced it first hand.”

“The biggest mistake that doctors and patients make is ignoring the gut microbiome and gut permeability,” Eric says. “I learned from world renowned experts that no amount of creams, lotions, or topicals will fix your skin if you don't start the healing process from the inside your gut.

"The gut microbiome plays a major role in achieving and maintaining clear, healthy skin."

Understanding the role of your gut microbiome and it’s intimate relationship with your skin means that you are no longer bound by expensive, dismissive doctor visits and topicals that just treat the surface symptoms. But instead, you are able to achieve and maintain healthy skin by understanding and maintaining the health of your microbiome.

What is the gut microbiome?

In the simplest of terms, the gut microbiome is the trillions of healthy bacteria that exist naturally in the gut. When that's out of balance...we have problems - problems that can show up on our skin. However, scientists are describing the gut microbiome as "a newly discovered human organ as essential as the liver or the kidneys” If it's messed up, how do we fix it? This is the x-factor!

The gut microbiome has huge potential to change your health for the better.

But aren’t bacteria bad?

That’s a HUGE misconception. Of the trillions of bacterial species that exist, we now know less than 100 pose a pathogenic threat to humans. Most are harmless. Many are beneficial. The ones that live in and on us are absolutely essential! Because of how significant the microbiome is, it has a huge potential to change how the body functions - especially the skin.

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are live microorganisms that give you specific health benefits when administered in the right amounts.

“ If you’re anything like me, I love a really good proven results model I can follow. Then I can model what I’m doing after the proven example that’s actually worked.”
