If you think your spray bottle has a clog, we suggest taking the top off and placing the tubing (with the nozzle still attached) in a cup of warm water; pump the spray top until water sprays out with ease. I recently started both Skinesa and Defensin. I wasn’t able to continue the Defensin—needed to be able to use contraindicated anti-itch creams—and wanted to reassure potential users that customer service could not be better. I received a refund within an hour of reaching out to the company.
First and foremost, this product worked great for me! I had a reoccurrence of eczema about two years ago after having it under control for five years and could not quite get it back under control. I ordered this product not expecting it to work, but I noticed a marked improvement within a week. My issue is the delivery. You get a mini spray bottle with the product, but like another reviewer, it stopped working after the first use. No biggie - I make most of my cleaning and skin care products so I have nice spray bottles on hand. I used one of my own and same thing - sprayer got clogged after one use. I’m assuming there’s something about the product that gets too sticky in the sprayer that it gets clogged so I ordered a one-time use pack of glass mini spray bottles from Amazon (not economical or sustainable but it was working and I’m desperate) so I use a new spray bottle to apply the product every other day. Sometimes I can’t even get the entire product out before the bottle clogs. It’s sooo frustrating! Still giving 5 stars because it works amazingly well, but there’s got to be another way to apply this product!? I’m going to try to mix it and add to a cotton ball to apply…at this point, I’m running out of spray bottles and don’t know what else to do to apply the product.
I’ve struggled with seb derm for 13 years (I’ve tried everything but shots—steroids, creams, herbs) and this is the first time I’ve experienced any relief. We have a young daughter with eczema and we aren't using steroids but only natural products. This product could have worked possibly if she was older and could tolerate the dryness/itchiness better, like adults or young adults can (mental preparation and self control) but she's too young for that. The product calls to use it when no other moisturizer is being used but her skin needed moisturizer or she goes out of control. Again, she's very young and cannot control her want to itch yet. My baby girl broke out all over her body with various eczema spots. We did an elimination diet and learned she’s sensitive to gluten so we cut that out. Once we did the eczema stopped spreading but it wouldn’t heal. We added this topical spray to our regimen and it reversed it by 98% in two months. Were very pleased with it. I just wish we could apply it every day so it’s an easier regimen to remember!
I bought this for my teenage daughter who has had eczema since an infant. She has been using the spray along with the pill for 3 months. She has not had any eczema breakouts since starting and the discoloration of her skin seems to be evenly my out. The only negative I would say is then spray bottle clogs very easily. I contacted customer service and the sent my 2 new bottles but those clogged within a few uses. I cleaned them after each use per the instructions. Luckily I had my own bottle and that has need working fine. So, it is an issue with the Defensin bottle. We had tried everything even prescription from Dermatologists and nothing has worked like Skinesa line.
I’m about halfway through the box, and I’m seeing a difference! I have rosacea and dermatitis. My skin is sensitive to nearly every skincare product (I break out little sores). So, I’m super relieved that my skin is tolerating the spray. We’re not 100% yet, but there’s significantly less redness now!
