Eric Koepp (00:07):

Hello and welcome. My name is Eric with Skinesa in Atlanta, Georgia. We'll give folks just another minute to join. Again, my name is Eric Koepp. I'm the cofounder of Skinesa in Atlanta, Georgia and I want to share with you the latest strategies people are using to achieve and maintain clear healthy skin, naturally using the latest scientific insights and breakthroughs related to the human microbiome specifically as it relates to skin. So if you have any questions, feel free to put them in chat and my staff will try to answer them or we will get back to you within the next 24 hours. Okay, let's get started.

Speaker 2 (01:02):

How will this event help you? On this call, I'm going to show you how to achieve and maintain clear healthy skin without drugs, topical steroids, and expensive doctor visits. I'm going to show you how to make the ultimate shift from struggling to maintain your skin health, feeling overwhelmed by complexity and feeling uncertain how you're going to heal your skin, to understanding the little known secret, to take full control of your skin. And by the end of this training you will have an actionable way to take control of your overall health, your skin and your confidence. And if you're anything like me, I love a really good proven results model I can follow. Then I can model what I'm doing after the proven example that's actually worked and if you stay with me until the end and decide to go on the skin healing journey with me, I'll give you the opportunity to get your hands on a couple of special bonuses I just added.

Speaker 2 (02:06):

I'll send you a guideline how to eat for healthy skin by a registered dietician and an eBook summarizing everything we are going over today with 50 clickable references. I'll give you the exciting details at the end of this presentation. So now please turn off your cell phones, shut down the windows on your computer and make sure your volume is on. I hope to have your full attention so you can walk away feeling excited, inspired and driven to take action on your skin health. I want you to feel like this is time well spent and just to make sure you're in the right place. Let's discuss why I think you're here. You're in the right place right now if you can relate to any of these three scenarios, does this sound like you? Number one, you're frustrated with fad diets and elimination diets that don't necessarily work for you.

Speaker 2 (02:55):

The reason they don't work is that we make it way more complicated than it needs to be. However, it is complicated and here's why what you're trying isn't working. Look at the bottom right corner in this diagram. We're going to talk about how to fix that on this call. So if you're struggling with your skin health and you think diet is a factor, then you're in the right place. But if this looks like you pictured here, then this is probably not the call for you. Number two, if you're tired of unproductive and dismissive doctor's visits and ineffective treatments with side effects, you're in the right place. Maybe you've been misdiagnosed or you've been dismissed when you mentioned diet and, or, you're only offered drugs or steroids that only treat your symptoms or, you think your doctor has no clue whatsoever and they just want to rub your hard earned money on the problem.

Speaker 2 (03:52):

Number three, nothing works as promised and you're frustrated. You tried every ineffective product on the market, nothing works as promise and you're frustrated by complexity. And I'm in a lot of Facebook groups and this is what inspires me a lot because I have some real answers for you. I see so many people frustrated and looking for natural remedies while constantly investigating triggers. So please let me know which one resonates with you the most and why you have shown up here today. Please type in the number one, two or three and whatever your motivation for showing up here today, I fully support you. I understand why you're here and I'm glad to be connecting with you.

Speaker 2 (04:40):

I'm Eric Koepp and this is my family, my wife Regina, my son Donovan and my daughter Lena with our nanny Lauda. Some of us share dairy allergies and some major skin issues. And I cleared up my chronic skin condition with healthy eating and probiotics. I said no to steroids and only treating the surface symptoms. And I said yes to a natural solution for achieving and maintaining healthy skin. And quite honestly, I gave up on managing my skin for almost 20 years. I grew up in Wisconsin, which is America's Dairyland, allergic to dairy, and over time I developed a pretty gnarly chronic skin condition. And then one day, it was gone. Can you imagine what it would be like if you were able to achieve and maintain healthy, clear skin, naturally? Essentially wipe away what your current condition of your skin looks like. Wouldn't that feel amazing? And I want to show you the little known X factor that is the key to your new found skin health. And sometimes you need a team of experts in your corner. I learned the concepts I'm about to share with you from the following experts. And by sharing what I've learned, I've already helped many people just like you achieve and maintain clear, healthy skin naturally. And now I'm going to show you how I've managed to help many other people following this proven model that is backed by published science, and that doesn't require complicated diet changes.

Speaker 2 (06:36):

Now here's a disclaimer saying you're not supposed to believe anything I'm about to tell you. And the opinions expressed by myself here are for educational and informational purposes only are not intended as a diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for medical care. Understanding the role of your gut microbiome and its intimate relationship with your skin means that you are no longer bound by expensive, dismissive doctor's visits and topicals that just treat the surface symptoms. But instead, you're able to achieve and maintain healthy skin by understanding and maintaining the health of your microbiome. And now I want to give you an introduction to the five pillars of skin health, the gut microbiome's intimate role in the health of your skin. It's a direct connection and a two way street. And number three, your missing microbes. How our diets which are low in fiber are causing health problems like skin issues.

Speaker 2 (07:43):

So remember that complicated slide from before? If this part is screwed up, it can cause all sorts of health issues. Does your doctor even know about the gut microbiome's role in skin health? If your doctor is dismissing your diet, then the answer is no. What is the gut microbiome? All it is is the healthy bacteria that exists naturally in the gut. When that's out of balance, we have problems, problems that can show up on our skin. However, scientists are describing the gut microbiome as a newly discovered human organ, as essential as the liver or kidneys! If it's messed up, how do we fix it? This is the X factor. Can you live without your kidneys or liver? The microbiome has a huge potential to change your health for the better, but aren't bacteria bad? This is a huge misconception of the trillions of bacterial species that exist,

Speaker 2 (08:50):

We know less than a hundred pose a pathogenic threat to humans. Most are harmless. Many are beneficial. The ones that live in and on us are absolutely essential. Because of how significant the microbiome is, it has a huge potential to change how the body functions, especially the skin. Now, let's quickly run through the five major factors, or pillars of skin health, and the main player, the gut microbiome. Now let's start with number one, your genetics and why you think this is the root of your problem. Well it certainly is a factor. Scientists now know that DNA is not your destiny, but rather the choices you make can reshape your health. This is good news. Number two, changing your environment. What you put in and on your body is the fastest way to a healthier you. You are in control. So you might be asking, how do you get clear healthy skin

Speaker 2 (09:58):

understanding these five pillars of skin health? Let's dive in all of this complexity that all leads to one thing, your gut! Number three, your immune system up to 80% of your immune cells are in your gut. Well, what is your gut? Well, your gut is a 20 foot tube, one cell layer thick, the surface area of a tennis court! Now let's zoom in here a minute. One cell layer is minuscule. The thickness of spider silk. This is what protects you from what you put in your body. With a healthy gut microbiome, your wall is thick and robust and well defended. With an unhealthy gut microbiome, your wall is thin and permeable, AKA leaky, and poorly defended. You have leakage and toxins get through toxins, trigger your immune system, and the consequences of that can show up on your skin. And a quick clarification. By toxins, I mean real or perceived by the immune system, everyone reacts differently.

Speaker 2 (11:08):

So we're not talking about a toxin cleanse here. You need to have a healthy gut microbiome because it protects your gut lining, which is important to your health and your skin. Because when you compromise your gut lining, you let toxins in and then an endless cycle of inflammation and an overreactive immune response. So here's what I want you to take away from all this. Your gut microbiome protects the wall. You're getting triggered by all of these toxins. You can see why topical solutions don't work here. It has nothing to do with the root of the problem. Does this make sense? I know it's quite complicated the first time you see this slide, and honestly this science is mind blowing. So one way to think about it is like a castle wall. In your healthy state, you have soldiers defending the wall and you have closed drawbridges. In your unhealthy state, you have less soldiers defending the wall, and you have open drawbridges letting all the attackers in.

Speaker 2 (12:15):

For instance, this happens when you eat gluten. And that's why your immune system can constantly overreact. Understanding the role of your gut microbiome and its intimate relationship with your skin is the key to your new found success! And this is why so many of us are having problems, because we're not addressing the root of the problem. The health of your gut lining is dependent on the health of your gut microbiome. In fact, leaky gut and gut microbiome are mostly ignored, even by our doctors. This is why topical solutions can't work. We need to stop this endless cycle of underlying inflammation by abandoning the Western diet and eating healthier. And on this call we're going to go just a little bit deeper and learn how we can fix it. So is this you? Do you ever feel like you're constantly trying to figure out what is causing your skin problems?

Speaker 2 (13:28):

Do you suspect diet is the cause of your skin problems only to be dismissed by your doctors...while your doctor prescribes an endless stream of topicals? When all you want is normal skin? Well, how do you modify your gut microbiome to promote skin health? The answer is fix your tummy. But wait a second, why doesn't your doctor tell you this? You know, because the world tells you this is normal and there's nothing you can do except get prescribed more steroids potentially forever. The consequences of which can be horrifying because if you're on steroids for many years, that can eventually turn into topical steroid withdrawal. That is not normal. And one of my first clients, Emily was on steroids for 23 years before she decided to take her health into her own hands and get off of topical steroids. But then you can develop topical steroid withdrawals because your body stops producing cortisol that can last up to a decade now.

Speaker 2 (14:47):

So it's really scary and not normal. So why do you think that 91% of patients reported that their doctors don't know how to treat their skin? Because for the last few decades they've been trained to dismiss you and I learned this from Dr. Whitney Bowe and I met her in New York and I read her book and in her book she claims when she "was in medical school and even during my residency training in dermatology, we were taught that diet had no impact on the skin. All of the major dermatology textbook stated that the exception was in the case of severe malnutrition, which were exceedingly rare in developed countries such as the United States textbooks, lectures, and reputable authorities such as the 20,000 plus member. American Academy of dermatology told us that if a patient suggested that she was eating or drinking, had any influence on her skin, we were to dismiss that notion as a myth."

Speaker 2 (16:00):

They're taught to dismiss you! Fast forward to today how new scientific discoveries are revolutionizing skincare. New science is showing that it's possible you can achieve clear, healthy skin without drugs, topical steroids, and expensive doctor visits. And trust me, I know I was on the Western diet and I thought I was eating healthy. Can you see how using treatments like creams or lotions is masking the underlying root problem, an underlying ecosystem of trillions of microbes? And when it's healthy, it's diverse as a rain forest, but when it's unhealthy, it's not so diverse. So have you done everything correctly? Only to have some flare up anyway? Well, do you feel like you're only attacking half the problem? And what happens when you only address half of the problem? What happens when you go to the doctor and they're not even familiar with all of your human organs? And what I discovered and what I've learned is that we're not eating enough dietary fiber and we're killing our gut microbiome. Our wall defenders. And scientists have observed the lack of dietary fiber is destroying our microbiome. But the thing is, because of our Western lifestyles, the lack of fiber has caused permanent damage.

Speaker 2 (17:45):

And 97% of Americans are not eating fruits and vegetables. We're starving our gut microbes

Speaker 2 (17:55):

by a 50% shortfall. So what is dietary fiber? Fiber is incredibly important. Even though you don't digest it, it feeds your friendly gut bacteria. All it is is the nondigestible part of a whole plant. Fiber is not digested by humans, but acted on by your gut microbes, AKA your new human organ. Increasing fiber intake promotes your gut health. How much fiber are we supposed to eat? Well, according to the Institute of Medicine, they recommend 38 grams per day for men, 25 grams per day for women. This is in chapter 7, page 339 of their hard copy, so there's no fruits and vegetable lobby, but there should be. What happens when we don't eat enough fiber? We lose gut microbiome diversity, and here's an illustration of a healthy versus unhealthy microbiome. Well, let's fix your microbiome. How do you promote a healthy gut microbiome? Well, I'm going to show you because my own lab work showed I had an unbalanced microbiome. And if you're multitasking right now, please come back to me because I want to know if this incredibly important concept makes sense to you - because here's the reality.

Speaker 2 (19:31):

Scientists observe that low fiber diets cause waves of extinction in the gut microbiome in just 4 generations. And here's dr Erica Sonnenberg of Stanford. She wrote an awesome book called the good gut, which I'd highly recommend. They studied mice for four generations and they deprived them of dietary fiber and they lost 70% of their gut microbiome diversity. Well, scientists also observe a 70% depletion of our ancestral gut microbiome diversity. They go to Africa and they studied a population called the Hadza who still live in the same place where we lived 65,000 years ago in Tanzania. They live the same lifestyle, they eat the same foods, but they eat a hundred grams of dietary fiber per day since the time that they are taken off of their mother's breast milk. Scientists observed a gut microbiome, diversity loss in immigrants that moved to the United States and just two generations. So it happens fast.

Speaker 3 (20:45):

And what happens when you lose gut microbiome diversity? you get obese and ill. So the reality is you're missing microbes. And Dr Blaser even wrote a book on it. And here's some of the reasons why the overuse of antibiotics, a Western diet, low in dietary fiber, toxins, C-sections, and you're breastfeeding, getting disrupted are all factors, but your diet, what you do and don't eat directly influences your skin. Your gut microbiome plays a major role in your skin health. So generations of poor diets have altered our gut microbiomes, so it's beneficial to eat more dietary fiber and supplement to replace these missing microbes. You're missing microbes! And I was completely unaware of this until, like I said, my own lab work showed that I had an unbalanced microbiome and this is my lab work from the American gut project. So the big question is how do you modify your gut microbiome to promote skin health?

Speaker 2 (22:08):

Number one, this is what the scientists say, eat a wide variety of plants. Number two, take evidence based supplements, probiotics designed to promote skin health. But you need the right probiotics. Probiotics, if you don't know, and you've been living under a rock, are live microorganisms that give you specific health benefits and probiotics can support your microbiome. The right probiotics can balance and sustain your microbiome for clear, healthy skin. And scientists want you to know that by definition, probiotics must have a scientifically demonstrated health effect. How do you demonstrate a health effect? A randomized placebo controlled clinical trial in a dermatology clinic, the so-called gold standard for testing the efficacy and safety of an intervention. So by the right probiotics, I mean probiotics that are tested in a randomized, placebo controlled, clinical trial for skin. And I saw a need in the market and I wanted to help people just like me. So I needed probiotics tested in dermatology clinics. That means I needed to seek out experts because I was just a case study. So when the opportunity arose to meet Dr Cathryn Nagler, one of my heroes, speak in Boston, I jumped at the opportunity. Because, in 2015 her team discovered that probiotics reversed dairy allergies in children!

Speaker 2 (24:04):

So I really wanted to go hear her speak because my son did not develop a dairy allergy because the right probiotics were in his formula. Whether or not that is a hundred percent the case, we don't know. But my daughter has a dairy allergy and my son didn't develop a dairy allergy because I think he had the right probiotics in his formula, which is LGG. So while I was in Boston, I ended up having a dramatic flare up and I met Dr Rita Colwell. Here she is winning the president's National Medal of Science, a real expert. And I showed her my skin and I told her, Rita, I can clear up my skin with probiotics. Isn't this crazy? And she's like, wow, that's really amazing. And she offered to metagenomically sequence all the microbes on my skin and in my gut before and after probiotics healing my skin. And sure enough, probiotics, altered my gut microbiome and healed my skin. Here are the actual results. And then I was able to look back at my earlier lab work and I noticed that I shared a profile with other people with skin issues. So I took a probiotic and I cleared up my skin condition and it balanced my gut microbiome and cleared up my skin.

Speaker 2 (25:54):

I was then introduced to Dr. Navarro's team. They discovered many patients share a gut microbiome profile, which is known as an enterotype, and not only that, but these same scientists also were using specific probiotic strains to promote clear helping skin in clinical trials in dermatology clinics! Exactly the answer I was looking for! The right probiotics! So now, as promised, I'm going to show you how to make the ultimate shift from struggling to maintain your skin health, feeling overwhelmed by complexity and feeling uncertain how you're going to heal your skin, to understanding the little secret to take full control of your skin. Would you like me to show you how to balance the gut microbiome, protect your gut wall, and promote the health of your skin from the inside with a proven method, a proven method that has helped not only nine out of 10 people in clinical trials, but people in the real world, like Emily from California who suffered from topical steroid withdrawals.

Speaker 2 (27:12):

After 23 years on topical steroids, she wrote to us and said, I am almost totally cleared. My skin is doing great. Or Jasmine, she had a lifelong suffer of a skin issue. Thanks for formulating an awesome product! Or Pat who said that it helped him dramatically, or Cynthia, who has tried six different probiotics over six years and this one has worked the best. Or Cheryl, who's seen a huge change in her skin or to Takashi, who is 90% healed now after 26 years, or Kathleen who said, my skin is this smooth, smooth as that it has ever looked, or Jen who noticed a difference immediately with fewer breakouts or Janae who said, my skin improved almost immediately. You and your company are extraordinary. I am a customer for life and these folks have been able to correct their imbalance and managing your gut microbiome effectively is the missing piece solution to your skin problems. So would you like me to show you how to achieve clear, healthy skin naturally with the right probiotics?

Speaker 2 (28:32):

First, choosing the right probiotic requires learning how to read a probiotic label to decipher what exactly is in the product. And the international scientific association for probiotics wants you to know you need three critical pieces of information when choosing a probiotic. Genus, species and strain. And knowing the strain is the most important. This is most important because different strains within the same species can have different health benefits due to their unique characteristics. So remember, all a strain is is a subset of a species and it's required. Second, the right probiotics are evidence based probiotics, which means they have been studied for safety and effectiveness in a randomized, placebo controlled, clinical trial. So you may not be shocked to learn that only 1 in 500 probiotics on the shelf are evidence based! This means the vast majority of all probiotics are not even based on published science.

Speaker 2 (29:32):

However, if you recall from earlier, we learned that scientists want us to know that by definition, probiotics must have a demonstrated health effect. Instead, we have probiotic labels with no strains identified. In addition, probiotics are sold by higher and higher CFU counts. Scientists want you to know more, does not necessarily mean better and you might be familiar with CFU's as colony forming units here. It's described as 30 billion organisms. In truth, as you've just learned, clinical evidence and not a CFU count drives the value of a probiotic. Therefore, CFU counts don't mean much if they're not backed by clinical evidence. You simply need to match the CFUs in the clinical trial.

Speaker 2 (30:25):

Third, choosing the right probiotic means that you need to purchase from a very trustworthy source. Well, who can you trust? Because in this major recent study of 121 probiotic products found that only one third of the products contained what was actually listed in the nutritional facts! You need to choose a probiotic that is rigorously tested and retested before it is third party tested. So evidence-based probiotics are rare. Again, those supported by randomized, placebo controlled, clinical trials or published science. So we don't want random species in a bottle with a high CFU count. We don't want random species in a bottle. What do we want? We want evidence based, clearly identified probiotic strains backed by clinical proof. Clinical proof showing their safety and effectiveness in clinical trials and skin. Then we want those findings verified or published in a peer reviewed medical journal. In this case, dermatology journals.

Speaker 2 (31:35):

for anyone to read online. An evidence based formulation means a hundred percent of the probiotic strains are backed by published science. So how did scientists formulate the world's first and only evidence-based probiotic blend designed specifically for skin? If you recall, by definition, probiotics must have a scientifically demonstrated health effect. So based on that definition, scientifically demonstrating a health effect is the first step. In this case, the health effect is clear healthy skin. So let's prove this probiotic blend works in a placebo controlled, double blind, clinical trial, the gold standard for verifiable scientific result. And that's exactly what they did. Based on the observation that certain probiotic strains work better together than just on their own. Scientists began choosing very specific probiotic strains to work together for the benefit of healthier skin. And here are those choices. Five probiotic strains published in six scientific journals. How long did it take to discover, identify, and test these specific probiotic strains before they could be blended together and tested?

Speaker 2 (33:07):

What I'm about to show you is a breakthrough from over a decade of university research, not random species in a bottle, rather one of a kind probiotic strains discovered and tested specifically for healthier skin over the course of a decade. Here are those all star probiotic strains. Bifidobacteria longum ES1 was chosen because of its improved gut barrier function and anti-inflammatory characteristics. I-4036 was chosen because of its ability to balance the gut microbiome and its role in a balanced immune response. CECT 8145 was chosen for improved metabolism and it's also observed it had antioxidant properties. CECT 8361

Speaker 2 (33:57):

was chosen because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. And Lactobacillus casei 9104 was chosen because of its anti pathogen capabilities. So scientists blended all these together for one specific health outcome, clear healthy skin. And two clinical trials were completed and published in peer reviewed medical journals that resulted in this evidence based formulation for skin. We took the probiotic strains from two randomized, placebo controlled, clinical trials on skin and combine them into one formula. One of these studies on probiotics for skin pictured here on the left was published in the world's leading dermatology journal where 21 out of 23 participants achieved clear skin within 90 days. So evidence shows the best results at 90 days for 92% of people. And science tells us you're going to see similar results as it's 92% effective. So if you're like 92% of people, which chances are you are, you will see results too.

Speaker 2 (35:08):

And we stand by our published science. In addition, this study shows patients share a gut microbiome profile that is imbalanced before probiotics and balanced after these specific probiotic strains are administered. So these specific probiotic strains are shown to balance your gut microbiome and improve the look and feel of your skin. Finally, we took the probiotic strains from this breakthrough study on skin and them with another breakthrough randomized, placebo controlled, clinical trial on skin and combine them into one formula. And this second breakthrough study on skin patients were also observed sharing a gut microbiome profile that is imbalanced before probiotics and balanced after these specific probiotic strains are administered. To review, scientists combined five probiotic strains published in six scientific journals, two of which were studied specifically on clear, healthy skin. We put them into one formula for improving skin health. And to sum it all up, you can see how these evidence-based probiotic strains could be available for six different health outcomes and six different products.

Speaker 2 (36:24):

If these were like $39 each, the monthly costs would be $234. So, to sum it all up and you wanted to match the 90 days in the clinical trials where most people saw the best results, it would cost you even more. It might cost you a small fortune. However, here's the cool part. You don't have to pay $700 to achieve these results. We took all these clinically proven ingredients and we package them up into one bottle, which retails for $59 per bottle, a balanced microbiome, improved matabolism, antioxidants, anti pathogen, anti-inflammatory with a balanced immune response, while promoting the health of your gut barrier all while improving the look and feel of your skin. You can have it all in one capsule. However, we have a very juicy no-brainer offer for you. Do you like no brainer offers? I do. Let me ask you a serious question.

Speaker 2 (37:27):

What was the last product that you used that you were so thrilled with you felt the need to write a letter to the company and tell them they're extraordinary and that you're a customer for life? How about you? Would you like to see your skin improve almost immediately? How would you like to see a real noticeable difference in the way your skin looks and feels? From what it looks like now? Have you been struggling you for decades, nothing has worked and you're overly frustrated? How would you like to have more freedom from the burden of overreactive, maybe painful, even unsightly skin? So you're not worrying about it as much even at night. And how would you like to be less reactive and less sensitive to the foods that you eat? So are you at your wit's end struggling to find the missing piece solution to your skin issues?

Speaker 2 (38:25):

Are you tired of rubbing more money on the problem? Maybe even ready to give up? I was in your shoes. We don't want to keep rubbing money on the external symptoms of an underlying source. All we want is normal skin and we're tired of spending money on the surface symptoms. Well here it is your juicy offer. We want you to feel good in your skin.
